Griffin's notes: I do like the modern take that Aldric is not infallible and is, in fact, a somewhat unreasonable hero. And it's not as if Zephaniah is portrayed too sympathetically either, considering Ru does roast him at every given opportunity. I suppose my only critique of this interpretation of these historical characters is that... well, they are rather stupid, aren't they?
(I mean, they are. But it's like a stupidity born of stubbornness and pride... --Ru)
